Why We’re Excited About Influencer Marketing in 2021

Posted 18th December 2020

There’s no denying that 2020 has been a difficult year; COVID-19 has impacted the world in an unprecedented way. It has deeply affected millions of people, the economy and the future currently feels very uncertain right now.

Because of this uncertainty, a lot of businesses have found this year difficult; budgets have been cut or taken away altogether, potential business partners have been more hesitant and there simply hasn’t been as much freedom for growth.

Here at Saulderson, we have been in the fortunate position to all be able to work from home whilst still communicating effectively, additionally, we have still been able to get involved in lots of exciting campaigns with numerous influencers and brands.

Despite the difficulties brought about this year, rest assured, we have big plans for 2021! We were made to feel grateful for the simple things and this made us even more determined to build great relationships, secure large deals, and help our talent grow.

2021 feels like it will be a big year for influencer marketing across the board; 2020 saw campaigns such as the Black Lives Matter movement emphasise and elevate POC voices, so we’re definitely excited to see more diversity in brand campaigns and online in general. COVID-19 has pushed more users than ever into the digital world, with people taking the majority of their business and personal communication online. Influencers saw more engagement than ever before, feeling like a comfort blanket to their fans and followers in a time of stress and uncertainty.

Though 2020 hasn’t been a positive year for most, there has been a lot to learn from it. 2021 will be a time for rebuilding, reorganizing, and growing both professionally and personally. We believe Influencer marketing will continue to flourish as it has this year and continues to provide great opportunities for businesses, creators, and agencies alike.
